A Western North Carolina man will spend time in prison after what were said to be alcohol fueled crashes have resulted in DWI convictions. Court records show that 34 year old, Justin Cody Moore of Brevard pleaded guilty late last week on two counts of DWI and multiple other traffic violations.
Moore was charged after causing two separate crashes in Henderson County. The 1st came in October of 2024 court records say Moore ran off the road, flipped his vehicle and was thrown from it. Then about 6 weeks later he was charged with DWI in Hendersonville after the State Highway Patrol said he ran a red light and broadsided another vehicle.
Court records stated that Moore's blood alcohol content was at least double the legal limit in both cases. Officials say Moore had previous DWI convictions. He's been sentenced to 6 years in the state prison system.
