A Western North Carolina man will spend at least 4 decades in prison for child sex crimes.
Court records say Timothy Foster of Candler has been found guilty of three counts of statutory rape of a child under 15, 3 counts of indecent acts with a child, and 7 counts of statutory sex offenses with a child under 15.
Foster was charged in 2022 when Buncombe County deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault with a minor.
Foster will serve between a minimum of 40 years and a maximum of 58 years in the North Carolina State Prison System.
