A Western North Carolina woman has been found guilty after another woman died there from a Fentanyl overdose in 2023. 38 year old, Heather Marie Maybin of Hendersonville was found guilty of death by distribution after a four day jury trial.
The District Attorney's Office says Maybin sold the victim Fentanyl and after using it the woman lost consciousness and stopped breathing.
The autopsy report confirmed the victim died from a fentanyl overdose. Maybin will serve between 5 and half and 7 and a half years.
