An Upstate woman accused of helping coverup her roommate's murder has been denied bond again. Last year, Victoria Tippett was one of three people charged in connection to the murder of 20 year old, Jessica Barnes.
The Pendleton Police Department says the victim was strangled to death by her husband Brandon Barnes. Tippett is charged with accessory after the fact and obstruction of justice.
Police say Tippett and another woman named Kendall Mims took the victim's body to an area near Lake Hartwell, where the body was burned. Tippett was denied bond in April but was allowed to re-file six months later.
She was in court again Wednesday and was again denied bond, with prosecutors arguing she is a flight risk and danger to the community.
