A former Upstate educator charged with sexually abusing a teenager has had her teaching license suspended. Nicole Ballew Callaham is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and unlawful conduct towards a child.
Callaham was a teacher at Homeland Park Elementary before allegations surfaced that she had a sexual relationship with a teenage boy that started in 2021.
The State Board Of Education says that Callaham poses a credible threat to students. Callaham's license suspension will remain in effect for the forseeable future.
She is on house arrest after being released on bond, last month.
