An investigation is ongoing after a woman was found dead in Western North Carolina, late last week. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office responded to the 700 block of Old Mars Hill Highway near the Buncombe/Madison County line, around 7AM Friday.
Upon arrival, deputies found a woman dead near the roadway. The deceased has been identified as 45 year old, Teresa Annette Davis. No details on how she died have been released, at this time.
Investigators say more details are set to be released, as autopsy results are pending.
