Flood watches are being issued all over the state due to Hurricane Idalia as Governor Henry McMaster issues a state of emergency for the state amidst the storm's projected impact.
Heavy rain is already expected throughout the state for most of the week, and now flash flood watches have been issued as a part of this forecast.
In Lancaster, Fairfield, and Newberry Counties, flood watches have been issued through 2pm Thursday.
Flood watches have also been issued through 8pm Thursday in Mecklenburg, York, and Union Counties.
The tropical storm watch and storm surge watch also still remain for the state's coastline south of the Santee River.
