A woman and her two children were found dead after a fatal shooting in the Low Country. Officials say, the fatal shooting happened at a home in the Carolina Forest Area of Horry County.
The coroner's office has identified the victims as 42 year old Laura Moberely, her 11 year old son Eric and 8 year old daughter Emily. Officers from the Horry County Police Dept. were called to the residence for a welfare check around 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, they forced entry into the home after there was no response. Upon entry, the bodies of the victims were found.
All three died from gunshot wounds according to the Horry County Coroner's Office. Police believe the incident happened around 6AM Wednesday morning. Laura Moberely was a teacher at Carolina Forest Elementary, her daughter was a 3rd grader there and her son was a 7th grade student at Ten Oaks Middle School.
The incident remains under investigation and no arrests have been made of the time of this report.
