Styx will release their 17th album "Crash Of The Crown" on June 18th. The album was recorded remotely during Covid-19 quarantine and is their first album in four years.
The title track "Crash Of The Crown" is the first Styx song ever to feature three different lead vocalists - original members Tommy Shaw and guitarist James "JY" Young along with lead singer/keyboardist Lawrence Gowan who has been with Styx since 1999.
Styx will be on tour this summer with Collective Soul and will play several dates at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas in September.
James "JY" Young talked with Dave O'Brien about the new album; the "classic" Styx sound; spending time in Las Vegas and the secret to the longevity of Styx.
