When the coronavirus first began to spread across the country, many assumed it would eventually lead to becoming the plot of a horror movie. However, no one could predict that movie would already be here. ‘Corona Zombies’ was released this week, and while it may not end up being the best coronavirus movie, it will always be remembered as the first.
Many were shocked last month when the trailer for ‘Corona,’ a film that had been conceived, written and shot since the first Covid-19 reports, was released. Yet, somehow that movie’s full release was beaten out by ‘Corona Zombies’ which can be seen on the streaming service, Full Moon Features. The film was made in 28 days with every member of the cast and crew under self-isolation.
‘Corona Zombies’ stars Cody Renee Cameron, who recently played a prostitute in Vince Gilligan’s ‘El Camino.’ The rest of the filmed was clipped together using news sound bites. It may not be the best movie ever made, but with many stuck at home due to coronavirus, it’ll definitely get some viewers.
