Last week, an apartment explosion in South Dallas left 250 residents displaced and out of their homes.
They were placed in area hotels for the time being, though that time appears to be running out as many of hotels now need the space to accommodate all the of the visitors to town for the upcoming Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma.
The City's Office of Emergency Management told WFAA that the tenants have to be checked out by Thursday because of the rooms already booked for the weekend.
If you would like to help, you can donate to the City of Dallas Emergency Assistance Fund at the Dallas Foundation, HERE.
If non-profit groups want to aid displaced residents, they may email oemdepartment@dallascityhall.com with their contact information and what resources they provide for inclusion in the resource guide.
