For most people, nothing can go wrong while getting to spend a summer day out on the boat. However, for a group of women in Texas, they may think twice before venturing out onto the water for their next summertime activity. The group of women were recently rescued from a boat as it nearly went over the edge of a dam.

Rescue crews in Austin were called to the Longhorn Dam at Lady Bird Lake recently as a 911 caller reported seeing a boat that looked like it was going to go over the edge of a dam. When Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services arrived at the scene, they found for women trapped on an electric boat, as it neared the edge of the dam. According to police, the boat got caught in the current near the dam, and wasn’t strong enough to pull away.

ATCEMS shared photos of how close the boat came to danger that quickly went viral. According to Fox News, the boaters were saved after 15 minutes, as another boat helped pull them away from the dam. It may be some time before these women go back on a boat adventure.
