UPDATE (9/3): The proposed location has been approved.

Dutch Bros., known for their wide variety of drinks and party atmosphere, has set its sights on another Bay Area city for expansion. The company hopes to build a 24-hour location at the corner of Clayton & Bailey roads in Concord, which would be its third east bay location alongside ones in Brentwood & Oakley.

The process remains in its early stages and is awaiting approval from the planning commission. The chain has more than 400 locations across the western U.S. including several in the North Bay.

Nearby residents hav expressed concerns about the traffic the drive-thru could cause and a meeting is planned for September 1st to discuss next steps.
