Plans for the 'Black Panther' sequel have been on hold since the film's star Chadwick Boseman passed away in August, but now The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that filming is set to begin on the project in July 2021.
Ryan Coogler is back to direct and Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett will all reprise their roles for the film. Tenoch Huerta of 'Narcos: Mexico' has signed on to play a villain role in the currently untitled film.
Just days before his death, Boseman had been doing prep to begin filming for the sequel. The film has been slated to hit theaters on May 6, 2002.
