Seeing live music is almost always a great experience. However, when spending good music to see one’s favorite artist, even the smallest thing can sometimes ruin the show. Whether it’s blocking the view, or making it hard to hear the music, there are certain things every concertgoer should know not to do. That’s why a new study has been released revealing the most common concert faux pas, so people can finally learn how to properly act at shows.

A new study, done by No Deposit Fan, surveyed over 1,000 concertgoers, asking them what some of the worst concert behaviors they’ve witnessed are. Each person surveyed had attended at least one concert since the beginning of 2023, with all 50 states represented. According to Loudwire, the most common concert faux pas reported was excessive use of smartphones, with 69% of respondents naming that among the worst concert behaviors.

Other behaviors that made the list were loud talking, disregarding personal space, littering, pushing and shoving and excessive intoxication. The study also found that 38% of those surveyed claimed they have seen an increase in rude behavior at concerts this year. Maybe this will finally show those people the right way to see a concert.
