They've been telling you for years now: "Emo Nite is not a band, and they’re not your usual DJs..." and now, the party is coming to the California desert as featured performers at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival in Indio, CA.

The long-running club gathering has been expanding its empire over the years since its inception at a small bar in Los Angeles in 2014. “A lot of times bands I really liked weren’t invited to play. Brand New had a moment, but otherwise, emo has never really had a presence there,” Emo Nite host Morgan Freed, whom you can hear on the air Sundays on Audacy Alternative stations nationwide, tells NME. That's one of the reasons he's never even been to the Coachella festival, running for 23 years now since getting its start in 1999. “For them to invite us this year speaks highly of the genre itself and where it is in our moment in time. It’s a big honor for us to be able to do that.”

In a social media post, they explained there will be a brand new, 50-minute stage show, "that is just pure fun from start to finish." Adding, "we tried to combine all the best parts of emo nite from the singalong anthems to the special guests to bring you guys something that's never been done before in a festival setting."

Following their Coachella sets, TJ and Morgan continue their U.S. tour, taking the feels to U.S. cities from coast to coast. Grab your tickets right HERE and visit emonite.com for dates and more info.
