While Audacy's Emo Nite host Morgan Freed is normally fired up to talk about music past and present with his favorite artists, he's taking a different path this week by getting into the incredible ways music can change lives with guest Vic Fuentes of Pierce The Veil.
Aside from his singing tenure in one of post-hardcore's most beloved bands, the California native is also co-chairman/CEO of the Living the Dream Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to making dreams come true for kids and young adults with terminal or life-threatening illnesses.

LISTEN NOW: Vic Fuentes on Emo Nite
Appointed to the position in 2019, Fuentes explained how the foundation works within the music industry to provide all-access, VIP experiences for children and families at festivals, concerts, Zoom hangs and more in order to brighten, energize, and "inspire hope and strength to keep fighting against these illnesses that they have."
"It's been amazing," says Vic. "We call them 'Dream Days...' every 'Dream Day' is just so special. As a kid I've always looked up to bands who supported causes. As our band was growing, we wanted to kind of get involved, so we started to get involved with Keep A Breast, Invisible Children and things like that -- and then we found Living The Dream Foundation. It just immediately became our favorite thing on Earth. We would be hanging out backstage and then Living The Dream would bring over one of their guests with their family and we would meet them, take pictures -- they would stand on stage to watch the show -- this full-on VIP hang. It felt so real, so tangible, and so powerful for us that Living The Dream became our favorite non-profit."
After founder Scotty Sanders asked Fuentes to join the team to help with their operations, it all snowballed a few years ago into his taking over the whole operation. "Now I'm just running with it," says Vic. "It's been an adventure!"
Keep an ear and eye out as Emo Nite returns with live dates and plans to involve Living The Dream as much as possible. For more information and to donate check out their website now, and follow @LTDfoundation on social media.
