Remember back in September, when the Jane’s Addiction reunion didn’t go as planned after an on-stage altercation between Perry Farrell and Dave Navarro led the band to cancel the remainder of their tour.

In case you forgot, here’s a quick recap — It all went down during a Friday night concert in Boston. Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell walked up to guitarist Dave Navarro, who was busy shredding on the guitar, and started throwing punches, one to his arm, before hitting him again.

The altercation quickly made music media waves, very soon after, band members released statements and apologies, and Jane’s Addiction announced the cancellation of the remainder of their tour dates.

Now, months after the ordeal that left the Alternative rockers on hiatus, it seems three of the band’s members are back to working on new music — and guess who’s out...? That’s right, that would be Perry Farrell.

On Friday, January 3, the band’s bassist, Eric Avery took to social media to share a video of himself recording bass lines to a drum track he confirmed was recorded by Stephen Perkins. “Writing some more new lines to some of Stephens drumming,” Avery captioned the post. “Look forward to getting some Mr Navarro on them. 2025!," he added, before tagging both Perkins and Navarro.
