The Padres announced on Monday that they had extended a qualifying offer to left-handed reliever Adrian Morejon, who struck out 107 hiters in 86 innings with a 2.83 ERA and 1.08 WHIP with 3 saves and 28 holds in the 2026 season. Morejon has until November 17th to accept the club's qualifying offer, which would pay him $23.15 million for the upcoming season. If Morejon declines, he would become an unrestricted free agent and the Padres would receive draft pick compensation from the team he signs with.
We have tendered a qualifying offer to LHP Adrian Morejon and selected LHP Luis Gutierrez to the Major League roster.
