The Padres continued their winning ways on Tuesday evening, winning their 4th game in a row, and 14th in their last 18, to force a three-way tie for the final two wild card spots after both the Phillies and the Diamondbacks lost on the same night. Luis Rengifo exacted revenge against the team that released him earlier this season, blasting a grand slam in the bottom of the 2nd to break the game wide open. The Padres slugged three home runs in all, as Fernando Tatis Jr. and Luis Campusano also left the building, as the Padres scored 11 runs on 17 hits, while going 5-14 with runners in scoring position. Tatis Jr.'s home run moved him past Nate Colbert into second place on the franchise's all-time home run list. On the mound, Walker Buehler pitched one of his most effective games of the season, limiting the Brewers to just one run in six innings of work. The Padres will go for a sweep against the NL's top team on Wednesday afternoon.
