(92.9 The Game) -- The Atlanta Braves are coming off of being very busy at the trade deadline. Alex Anthopoulos put a big emphasis on solidifying the bullpen. The highlight of the addition to the bullpen is closer Shane Greene.
Before the trade deadline, starting pitching was something that the pitch fork carriers in this town were clamoring for.
Gabe Burns, who covers the Braves for the Atlanta Journal Constitution, joined Jon Chuckery to explain why Anthopoulos did what he did at the trade deadline.
"They were never close to adding a starter" Burns said.
It was clear that Anthopoulos had a plan coming in to the trade deadline and he wasn't listening to the outside noise. We will see if his plan silences all of the critics.
