Brad Choat

KMOX News

Reporter/editor Brad Choat joined the KMOX news team in the summer of 2006. The 1993 University of Missouri - Columbia graduate is a Metro-East native. Brad started putting his Mizzou journalism degree to good use by first landing a reporter's job at WBYS-AM/FM in Canton, Illinois, and later serving as talk show host and news director. He went on to spend nearly nine years as news director and morning show co-host at WJEQ-FM in Macomb, Illinois. Brad has won numerous awards throughout his broadcasting career, including the Illinois Associated Press Newsfinder of the Year award and Best Feature honors.

When he's not chasing down leads and interviews, Brad enjoys shuttling his two children to school, practices and meetings. He is an Assistant Scoutmaster of his son's Boy Scout troop, and a member of the Granite City Elks Lodge and Granite City High School Band Parents Association. Brad is married to his Granite City High School sweetheart, Stacey. The Choats love sports, music and spending time with family.
