The Celtics may have been eliminated from the NBA Cup, but that really doesn’t matter as they continue their quest to repeat as NBA champions this season and get set to face the Pistons tonight.
The Pistons are on their second night of a back-to-back after they fell to the Bucks on Tuesday night to fall to 9-14. The Celtics, meanwhile, are 17-4 and they are coming off of taking down the Heat on Monday night.
And they are 14.5-point favorites in this game.
This is a big spread, but the Pistons’ last two games have been losses by more than 14.5 points and the Celtics just beat the Heat by 19 points.
The BetQL model also has the Celtics winning by 20 points in this one, so with all of this considered, I’m comfortable taking the Celtics -14.5 tonight at TD Garden against the Pistons.
