Teaser of the Week: Seahawks +9 & Giants +9.5
Time to look at some parlays for Week 7 in the NFL, starting with my favorite teaser of the week. The Seattle Seahawks are taking on the Atlanta Falcons on the road in a game that is lined as a very close matchup. The Seahawks are +3 right now pretty much everywhere in the market, and to be honest, I think they have a great chance of winning this game outright. The first game the Falcons have won by double-digits came last week against the Carolina Panthers, in what was the most public week in NFL betting history. I feel like it is going to be rare that we see the Falcons win games this season in blowout fashion, as this is not a team that is built to do that. I think Seattle can keep up here and I love getting over a touchdown with them.
Perhaps no team has been as disappointing as the Philadelphia Eagles this season. They just barely beat the hapless Cleveland Browns last weekend and now have to face another terrible football team in the New York Giants. Despite the talent difference, the Giants are just a +3.5 underdog in Philly. No one is going to want to bet on Daniel Jones here, but he has actually been a much better QB on the road in his career than he has at home. The Eagles defense leaves a lot to be desired as well, and they have gotten blasted several times already this season. I think New York can remain close in this game, and I don’t see Philly winning in a blowout with Sirriani as head coach.
Longshot Parlay of the Week: Seahawks ML & Browns ML & 49ers ML & Jets ML (+2060)
Here we go with our longshot parlay of the week. We hit one of these in college football a few weeks ago, paying out over 20/1 odds, so let’s see if we can snag another one. I already talked about the Seahawks and how I think they are very live in this spot. Cleveland is considered the worst team in the NFL right now, and for good reason, as they have a 1-5 record and a QB who is just terrible. Deshaun Watson is a shell of what he was in Houston years ago. However, they are at home in this matchup against a Bengals team that I am simply not sold on. They 100% could have and maybe should have lost to the New York Giants last week. I do not think it is crazy to believe that they will win this game.
Everyone and their brother is betting on the Chiefs this weekend as an underdog, and yet, the line hasn’t moved an inch. In fact, despite over 80% of wagers being placed on Kansas City at BetMGM, I am starting to see some -2 numbers appear in the market. If this figure was off, sharp betting syndicates would have hammered it immediately and the line would have adjusted. I think the 49ers are the right side here. Lastly, I think the Jets finally get on the winning side and beat Pittsburgh this weekend. I am not sold on the Steelers, and now with Russell Wilson getting the start, they could be even worse. This is probably the most risky play, but I like their chances here.
