Saquon Barkley BetMGM Player Specials: Best Super Bowl LIX Prop Bets

Breaking Down the Best Saquon Barkley Player Specials for Super Bowl LIX

The Super Bowl is right around the corner, and with the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs set to do battle, everyone is betting on this game from coast to coast. There are literally hundreds of markets for you to wager on in the game, but you had better believe that one of the biggest is going to be on Eagles running back Saquon Barkley. He’s been unreal this season, and even had a playoff game against the Rams where he ran for over 200 yards. Now, he’ll face a Chiefs defense that ranked 8th against the run in 2024-25.

Over at BetMGM, there is a market called “player specials” that allow you to bet on specific players in different ways. Barkley has a few player specials of his own that MGM is offering for Super Bowl LIX, and you may find some of them to be very intriguing. Take a look at the screenshot below on what the book is offering right now on Barkley player specials.

Personally, I would be interested in Barkley to record 15+ rushing yards in each quarter at +175. I’m not interested in laying a -145 number for him to get 10+ each quarter, and 20+ seems like it is quite the stretch even at a +360 price. You are taking a risk if you bet him to record 50+ in each half, as if the Eagles are down in the fourth quarter, he isn't likely to see a ton of action on the ground. Still, he’ll be getting carries unless they are down by a considerable amount, and I am comfortable with 15+ in each quarter.

Barkley averaged a whopping 5.8 yards per carry this season, which was his career best average. That means if he gets three carries in each quarter, based on his average, he would cash this ticket for us. Of course, there is far more that goes into it than that. As we know, the Chiefs ranked 8th in the league at defending the run this season, and they are going to be keyed in on Barkley with how he has played. Kansas City knows that this guy is a game-breaker that can hit home runs down the field, and I expect them to play as such.

Still, I think this also means they will be just fine with allowing him to get three or four yards per carry. They know he is going to get his behind that dominant offensive line, and the goal is going to be to just hold him below his average and not to allow the 50-yard dash that we have seen from him this year. If they allowed him just 15 yards in each quarter, that would be a massive win for the Chiefs considering he’s been rushing over 100 yards per game.

I have bet the under in the game at 49.5, and I think we will see a far lower-scoring game this go around between these teams than we saw in Super Bowl LVII. As such, I think this helps our chances at cashing really any of these player specials on BetMGM. With these kinds of bets, it is all about finding the value at the number. Obviously, it isn't guaranteed to hit by any means, but I am comfortable placing it with a +175 payout.
