Quiet on set!
Mariska Hargitay had no problem nicely shutting down a heckler who was trying to disrupt a “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” shoot recently, approaching him and asking him to stop.
Variety reports that the star and executive producer of the hit crime procedural went up to a man, who was singing and intentionally disrupting the shoot, and calmly asked him to stop.
“Your singing was beautiful, but we’re just trying to get the shot. Is it okay if you don’t sing when we say ‘action’?” she asked him.
An onlooker recorded the interaction between Hargitay and the man, who asked the actress a question that is indecipherable in the video, reports the outlet. “We’ll make a deal. I’m happy to do that for you,” Hargitay responded, acquiescing to his demand. “It’s just that we’re shooting, so it doesn’t work for the scene. Is that okay? I’ll get to you, though,” she continued.
Warren Leight, the showrunner for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” retweeted the video and wrote “what other #1 on the call sheet could do this?” referencing Hargitay’s star power, before writing “We all [love] Mariska” with a heart emoji.
Hargitay, who has been on the show since 1999, has won several awards for her role as Olivia Benson, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe.

Fans are eagerly awaiting Hargitay’s next appearance on the “Law & Order” spinoff, which will be a two-hour crossover event between “Law & Order: SVU” and “Law & Order: Organized Crime.”
A promotional clip for the special showed Hargitay’s character stating “whatever happens, we’re gonna take it one step at a time,” with a pan to her former partner Elliot Stabler, played by Christopher Meloni, holding her hand.
In April, Meloni’s character told Benson that he loved her during an emotional episode of “Law & Order: Organized Crime.” In it, the former partners were brought together after Stabler’s children enlisted Benson’s help to have an intervention for the detective, whose behavior got increasingly erratic after the death of his wife.
Stabler (Christopher Meloni) snapped at Benson (Mariska Hargitay) after she expressed concern, only to break down and say “I love you” to her. But whether or not it was a romantic admission was left unclear, as Stabler followed up by saying he loves “all of you” to Benson and his children.
