
Chris Lee was born and raised in The Upstate! A native of Greer, SC, Chris began his radio career in Myrtle Beach SC in 1985!
Chris spent 8 years working for the BMW auto factory in Greer from 1996 to 2004 and at the Boeing Aviation facility in Charleston SC for 2 years.
He joined the Audacy family of stations in August 2014.
Chris spent many years touring the southeastern US with his band Split Shot. The band scored two #1 hits in the Cashbox Magazine “Beach Music” charts. Their first single, “Ready to Roll” written by Chris Stapleton, scored the #1 spot in December 2017. The second single, penned by Chris himself, “Doin’ That Thing We Do” reached #1 in 2020. Chris left the band in January 2021.
During his time with the band, Chris began to further his education and earned two degrees from Greenville Technical College, one in Web Design and the other in Graphic Design.
Most of his time at home is spent with 5 cats, 4 donkeys, a lovable rottweiler named Allie and his girlfriend Patti. Chris built “The Man Cave” to be a working recording studio before the pandemic, but when circumstances changed, he began working from home in the new studio performing his on-air duties as newscaster on The John Boy & Billy “Big Show” and host of the 6PM – Midnight show Monday thru Friday.
An avid baseball/sports fan, Chris spent 7 years as the public address announcer for The Greenville Braves. He also served as PA announcer for The Greenville Drive for 4 years. He also traveled the world as emcee for International Championship Events for 14 years, mostly on weekends.

Acting has been a passion for Chris, he has appeared in many shows on TV including Homeland, The Righteous Gemstones, Outcast, Banshee and more. Chris even worked on the motion picture “Masterminds” that was filmed in western NC.
Cooking has always been a passion for Chris as well, he owned a restaurant/sports bar for 3 years in Easley, SC. Chris loves helping new restaurant owners get started. His hobbies include music, model trains, astronomy, and gardening. Chris loves to travel to local destinations, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head, and he and Patti love spending time at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. They are looking to make their first trip to The Catawba Two Kings Casino soon!
HOW HAS THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC CHANGED YOUR LIFE?
Well as most of you know, I do my show from the "Man Cave" at home. It's actually a studio I was working on before the pandemic to record music and do voice-over work.
