National Geographic and Warner Bros. have released the series 'The Right Stuff' on Disney+.
The Right Stuff was filmed throughout Orlando and the Space Coast from July to December of last year. Orlando was essentially the HQ for most of the production of the movie.
The series is a re-imagining of the 1983 movie of the same name which digs deep into the development and launch of the seven Project Mercury astronauts.
The Orlando Film Commission worked along with the production and pre-production team to find locations, process permits, and facilitate meetings between government partners and the production team.
The series is estimated to have employed close to 600 locals, and occupied over 7,000 nights at hotels, as well as rental of equipment and caterers benefited from the filming. Total local production time is said to have lasted 185 days.
