It's probably going to be all over the news and social media in the next couple of days, but you're hearing about it here first - because I'm a #Catchelor - and all I do is stare at the internet alone all day.

But a recent study shows that cats are gaining popularity among men and they can help to take the stress off of being single. 29% of men questioned in the survey say their cat is "good to talk to", and 50% believe that their cat "keeps them calm". 33% say that getting a cat was the best decision they've ever made. Can confirm.
My 8 pound rescue gremlin is a reason to get up in the morning, both because I love her, and if I don't feed her I know that she will resort to eating my eyeballs sooner rather than later.
