Even before COVID-19, there were a lot of questions about the Jacksonville Jaguars and what their 2020 season could look like. One of those major questions was answered when the man, the myth, the legend of Gardner Minshew was named as the starting Quarterback.

If you don't know the legend of Gardner Minshew, take a moment to reflect on his time as the Jaguar King, and maybe google the stories about the time he tried to break is own hand, walking around with Crown Royal in his jockstrap, or the possibility that he could have been named Beowulf.

As the NFL continues to look for a way to start their 2020 season, canceling the entire preseason and still debating on whether there will be fan attendance, they've been extra cautious with players that may have been exposed to Coronavirus. Garder was placed on the NFL's reserve/COVID-19 list on Sunday, which doesn't necessarily mean he has it, but that he came in contact with someone who did and needed a mandatory NFL quarantine. It only took a couple of days before they released him from that quarantine.

When asked about the situation, Minshew seemed to add to his 'legend' when he didn't test positive for COVID-19. In fact, he says that he scared the virus away: "But yeah, you know, did not contract the virus. Took one look at me, ran the other way. It’s probably in its best interest. So, here we are, we’re back on Tuesday ready to roll, excited to go play some football.”
He did reveal, however, that he tested positive for the COVID-19 antibodies which suggests he previously had it. Despite not having any symptoms, he believes he got it from training in Naples.  The quarterback, aside from the jokes, isn't taking coronavirus or his responsibility to the team lightly, saying "You know I told all the guys like you know we have a responsibility to each other, and each other’s families, you know to be safe..."
