As of two weeks ago, reports show that Florida
still leads the nation in lightning deaths, with July being the deadliest month. I don't know if you've noticed, but with a few severe thunderstorms over the last couple of weeks, there has been a
lot of lightning. In fact, I've taken to sitting on my porch, just watching the lightning in the distance (or not-so-distance) because that's what passes for entertainment these days.
One visitor to Walt Disney World, specifically Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, got an up-close-and-personal view and was able to catch a lightning strike on camera. The video immediately cuts off as I can only assume the dude was scared stupid like any one of us would have been.
