A 35-year-old man in Waco has been arrested after he allegedly poured a bowl of scalding hot soup on his 65-year-old girlfriend following an argument.
According to Local 12, Alexander Alton McDavid told the police that his girlfriend "was talking too much," which resulted in the attack.
The victim was taking a bowl of soup out of the microwave when McDavid swiped at it, causing the bowl to spill resulting in third degree burns on her shoulder and forearm.
The woman was unable to contact emergency services immediately as she didn't have a phone or car but filed a police report a few days later at a police station while she was on her way to Social Services.
McDavid is facing charges of injury of the elderly, assault with bodily injury with a previous conviction, continuous violence against family, terror threat of family, and resisting arrest.
