The anticipation of waiting days (even weeks!) for your Amazon delivery is quickly becoming a thing of the past.
Amazon just announced they are launching their 30-minute delivery service permanently in the Metroplex, after previously testing it in the area.
Per WFAA, with Amazon Now customers can order “fresh groceries, household essentials, or locally relevant items to their doorstep in 30-minutes or less.”
Udit Madan, senior vice president of Amazon Worldwide Operations, said in a statement, “Amazon Now is for when you need or want the convenience of getting your Amazon order delivered in 30 minutes or less.
“With thousands of items available for ultra-fast delivery, you can get everything from groceries for dinner, to AirPods before a flight, to household essentials like laundry detergent or toothpaste delivered right to your door.”
Customers living in an eligible area will see a "30-Minute Delivery" option on the banner on the Amazon app or homepage.
Prime members will be charged a delivery fee of $3.99 per order, and non-Prime customers will pay $13.99. If your order is less than $15, Amazon will add on an extra fee of $1.99 for Prime members and $3.99 for non-Prime customers.
