Study names Austin the 13th best city in the U.S. to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

As February ends, every partier’s focus turns to their most important holiday of the year, St. Patrick’s Day.

The big day is March 17, though you can expect cities all over the country to celebrate all month long.

For Texans, there’s no better spot in the state for St. Paddy’s celebrations than Austin.

The Texas capital was recently named the 13th best city in the nation to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, in a new study conducted by Shuffly.com, a shuffleboard manufacturer.

According to CW33, the rankings were determined by a list of 13 criteria including: average drink prices, the number of local bars and hotels, taxi costs and average bar ratings.

Each city received a final score out of 100 based on these metrics.

Austin earned an overall score of 62.48 out of 100

The top ten cities in the nation to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day include:

1 – New Orleans
2 – Las Vegas
3 – St. Louis
4 – Scottsdale
5 – Atlanta
6 – Orlando
7 – San Francisco
8 – Miami
9 – Portland
10 – Salt Lake City
