Police in Laredo, TX have arrested two individuals after they attempted to steal brisket and other choice cuts of meat valued at $800 from an area H-E-B.
According to Chron, the thieves tried to walk out of the pharmacy entrance with the cart full of meat, which raised alarms with H-E-B staffers because at the time of this writing, no prescription is required for brisket.
The men abandoned the cart and fled the scene, but the police tracked them down several weeks later and they were served warrants for the thefts.
Luis Felipe Ovalle, 33, and Roberto Gomez Jr., 40, are now facing felony charges for the attempted theft.
