Usually when a band makes a tour stop in Texas, they are shown quite a bit of southern hospitality. However, a band that was in town over the weekend didn’t receive the welcome many have become accustom to when visiting the Lone Star State. While in town opening for Kenny Loggins, the band Yacht Rock Revue had their equipment stolen from their hotel in Fort Worth.
On Friday, Yacht Rock Revue was in town performing with Kenny Loggins at Dickies Arena, and while everything with the show went great, the next morning the group woke up to an unfortunate surprise. The trailer that was attached to their van and stored all their instruments and equipment had been stolen overnight. “Every guitar, saxophone, flute, bass, drum, every instrument that we need to do our show,” said frontman Nicholas Niespodziani.
According to Fox 4 News, the thieves got away with about $150,000 worth of equipment. Sadly, the Hampton Inn & Suites Fort Worth/Forest Hill security cameras weren’t working and the items that had Air Tags were ditched in a Fort Worth neighborhood. Hopefully the rest of the equipment is found and returned to the band soon so they can keep putting on a good show around the country.
