There are a lot of incredible uses for ChatGPT (much to the chagrin of teachers trying to find students who use it to cheat), but one Redditor found an incredible use for the program.
The person asked ChatGPT to roast neighborhoods across Dallas, and it did not hold back.
Some of the highlights from the roast include:
Uptown
Oh, Uptown, the neighborhood where people pretend they still know what a "local dive bar" is, but really, they're just one overpriced rooftop bar away from buying a bottle of rosé and calling it a night. You guys love your yoga and your brunch, but when it's time to get down and dirty, it's more about finding a seat at the valet than actually getting to the food.
Deep Ellum
Deep Ellum, where the art is "edgy" the music is indie, and the craft beer is so unique it's basically a requirement to not taste good. Sure, the murals are fun, but you can't tell if you're at an art gallery or waiting for your Uber to take you to a place with better Wi-Fi.
Highland Park
Ah, Highland Park-the neighborhood where "casual" means a $500 shirt and a Tesla parked on the street. It's not just a neighborhood, it's an Instagram filter. Can't wait to see the future "fixer-upper" that costs more than a payment on an entire block here in the city.
Bishop Arts District
You don't go to Bishop Arts for the food, you go because it feels like you've stepped into a Pinterest board. Everything is "boho" and "vintage," and the coffee shops serve more oat milk than actual coffee. Also, if you don't have at least one *I found it at a flea market* piece of furniture, are you even living here?
Oak Lawn
Oak Lawn is like that one friend who's always trying to be the life of the party, but kind of misses the mark. It's trying to be hip and inclusive, but ends up looking like it belongs in the early 2000s with a few too many rainbow flags and pride parades to actually be "cool" anymore.
Far North Dallas
Far North Dallas is for people who wanted a bit of quiet and a lot of space, but ended up with suburban sprawl. It's like you're so far out that even Google Maps doesn't know where you are. But hey, at least you've got that big backyard for your dog who needs more room than your personality can handle.
East Dallas
East Dallas is where the true locals live. It's a mix of hipsters and people who've lived there since the 70s, so you never quite know if you're in a gentrified area or in a time capsule. It's a great place, though, as long as you're okay with random festivals and the occasional appearance of someone who swears they've been to "every hidden gem" here (they haven't).
As the top comment on the post exclaims, "Well. That covers it folks. ChatGBT has more insight on Dallas than most folks in Dallas."
