We know planning a wedding can be expensive, but one Texas woman was left shocked after her friend was quoted a price to have her makeup professionally done for her big day.
Emily Landon, from Dallas, posted a TikTok that has gone viral where she revealed a "well-known" makeup artist would charge her friend $125,000 to do the makeup for her wedding!
Landon explained in the video that the makeup artist's typical day rate for each day of travel was $25,000. Since the event required her to travel three days, that brings the cost to $75,000 immediately, and the "glam for the wedding day" would cost $50,000, so $125,000 right off the bat!
That doesn't even include the cost of the hotel and travel accommodations!
Landon told Newsweek, "I felt a need to share this because I thought it was insane people are being quoted these kind of prices for makeup. [I was] shocked."
Thankfully, according to The Knot's 2025 Real Weddings Study, the average cost of bridal hair and makeup is $290.
Landon also revealed that her friend would be going with a different, and more affordable, option.
