Adults who still have dolls or action figures in their home are constantly telling people they are collector’s items, not toys. One Denton woman was able to prove that recently when her $10,000 Barbie collection was stolen from her home. Now, police are investigating in hopes of finding the thief before the collection ends up online.
Cristina Garza has been collecting Barbie dolls for decades, but over the weekend she returned home to find her collection had been stolen.
According to NBC DFW, most of the stolen dolls were worth $50 to $100. However, Garza claims one of her vintage dolls that were stolen is worth thousands.

“It was in a box, but it's not the real box. It's just a container box to preserve the doll. That's a $6,000 doll,” said Garza. Now, police are investigating though Garza hopes to get an answer soon, as once the dolls are listed online for sale, they will be harder to track down. Hopefully the thief is found and Garza doesn’t have to start collecting all over again.
