Over the years, there have been many different versions of reality shows that place multiple contestants in a house together for an extended period of time. This strategy has been used on dating reality shows, competition reality shows, and even celebrity reality shows. Now, a new group is being put in a house together for reality TV, as Food Network recently aired a new series placing a number of chefs in a house together, and one of the contestants is from right here in DFW.

On Sunday, Food Network aired the first episode of their new series, ‘Ciao House.’ In the show, contestants live and compete in a Tuscan villa for the chance to take part in an immersive culinary experience across Italy, while training with renowned master chefs. One of the chefs hoping to win that prize is Jesuit graduate and Fort Worth resident Preston Paine.

According to Dallas Morning News, Paine has recently been working as the corporate executive chef at several Bishop Arts District restaurants, including Paradiso. “It’s one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities,” Paine said of the show. Hopefully Paine comes out of the show victorious, and if not at least DFW will be getting some good Italian food.
