There are so many great places to eat all throughout the metroplex. While some have kept the same favorites for years, others find it hard to pick, as just when they find a place they like, another new restaurants pops up that blows it out of the water. Now, two new DFW restaurants are being praised as they landed on Bon Appetit’s list of the 50 best new restaurants in the US.
Every year, Bon Appetit magazine releases a list of the best newcomer restaurants, and throughout the years DFW has been well represented. In 2019 it was Khao Noodle Shop and last year Petra and the Beast made the top 50. This year is no different with two new restaurants making the cut. According to Dallas Morning News, La Onda in Fort Worth and El Rincón del Maíz in Garland made the list.

The magazine said of La Onda, “The whole place is suffused with the kind of when-you’re-here-you’re-family vibes that make us wish this little blue house was our little blue house, so we could eat here every day.” As for El Rincón del Maíz, the restaurant that is located at a former Sonic was praised for their homemade corn tortillas and vegan menu. With these new restaurants, DFW has even more great food options to choose from.
