We all like to think that Big Tex has the largest cowboy hat in Texas, but the city of Garland has something to say about that.
Tomorrow, the city will unveiling a new attraction that solidifies it as “the Cowboy Hat Capital of Texas,” a 20-foot wide cowboy hat that will be installed right in the middle of downtown.
According to CW33, the hat will sit in the heart of Garland’s Downtown Square, “creating a whimsical, Instagram-worthy photo stop that celebrates both community pride and Garland’s hat-making legacy.”
The ceremony will begin at 12pm tomorrow and will include a Ribbon Cutting Salute, along with the opening of a companion exhibit, Hats Off to Garland, which will showcase artifacts, photos, and stories that highlight Garland’s historic role in shaping cowboy culture.
