Amazon is hopping on the autonomous vehicle trend and have announced they will start rolling out their own robotaxi unit for testing in Dallas soon.
The company says they’ve been mapping out the city since March and will begin testing Zoox in Dallas by the end of the month.
According to NBC DFW, Zoox says they've worked with city officials on first responder training, and they plan to work with the city more later this year. They currently operate fleets in Las Vegas, the San Francisco Bay Area, Austin, and Miami.
Zook did not say how long they will be conducting testing, but they tested for two years before launching in Las Vegas.
