Weddings are often described as the bride-to-be’s “big day,” but one future husband is hoping to get a little excitement of his own during his upcoming wedding. The man recently turned to the internet for advice after suggesting the idea of having a ‘Star Wars’ themed wedding to his fiancé. According to the now viral Reddit post, the man’s fiancé shut down the idea, and now he’s hoping the internet can help change her mind.
While a ‘Star Wars’ wedding may seem like the perfect theme for some, Reddit user Staarwars20’s soon to be wife thought differently. According to his Reddit post, his fiancé had no interest, even after suggesting a 50/50 split; having a traditional ceremony and a ‘Star Wars’ themed reception. “She has some very specific ideas about what our wedding should look like (much more formal and glamorous than I'd imagined) and her vision definitely doesn't include lightsabers,” said his post.
According to Fox News, many online sided with his wife, claiming the day should be about her. However, the man believes he “should get to decide at least HALF of the day.” Maybe he’ll get that option at his next wedding.
