The Fort Worth Police Department recently arrested seven individuals for their ties to an organized crime ring that stole multiple ATMS across the city.
Last month, FWPD received word that the ring, which originated in Houston, was traveling to Fort Worth for another theft.
Officers conducted surveillance on the crew at a bank ATM. When three people approached the ATM with a pry bar and sledgehammer, they apprehended them.
Police also stopped two other vehicles who were acting as "lookouts" during the theft.
Per the Dallas Morning News, the seven individuals arrested all face charges of engaging in organized criminal activity. The three who exited the initial vehicle also face charges of evading arrest detention.
