Almost everyone has experienced the disappointment of a snack going bad, because it wasn’t properly sealed after being opened for the first time. While some products understand this struggle and make a re-sealable bag, others people are forced to find inventive ways of keeping everything fresh. Luckily, a new kitchen storage hack went viral recently showing a new way to close bags without using a clip.

Phillip Quinn went viral recently after sharing his kitchen storage hack on TikTok. In the video, Quinn empties out a bag of fries onto a tray, but instead of rolling up the bag afterwards, he instead cuts into the middle, allowing for the bag to be tied in a knot. Many online were stunned with most commenting that they couldn’t believe they did not think of that before.

The video has since been viewed over 1 million times, with many claiming they will never use a bag clip again. Of course, not all foods are served in bags where this is possible, so don’t throw out those clips just yet. Still, this new trick will definitely help keep food fresh.
