Every once in a while, customers using a ride sharing app will get a special treat when someone with an expensive car comes and picks them up. For those who prefer when exotic rides drive them around town, there is a new taxi service that may be perfect. A man in England recently launched a new “Tank Taxi” service where he gives people rides in his military vehicle.

Merlin Batchelor purchased the 1967 military machine last year for $27,500 after it had been sitting in someone’s yard for four decades. Now, Batchelor is looking to make some of that money back, offering rides in his 15-ton armored vehicle. “I just wanted a tank. I always wanted to build a castle one day and it seemed to go with the whole defensive theme," said Batchelor of his recent purchase.

According to Fox News, the vehicle is not actually a tank, but instead an armored troop transport that was built to withstand hits from small arms, artillery and explosive devices. For those looking to get a ride in his military vehicle, the first hour costs $830 with each additional hour costing $275. Luckily, the tank seats nine, so it’s perfect for any group looking to make an entrance.
