Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ is one of those songs that everyone can’t help but enjoy, regardless of their preferred taste in music. While many nu-metal fans refuse to admit to enjoying a band like Journey, the song’s popularity shows there are clearly some cross over fans. Luckily, for those who still can’t come to terms with their ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ fandom, there is a new nu-metal mashup of the song for them to enjoy.

YouTuber William Maranci, a self-professed “mashup madman,” recently went viral with his latest song, combining ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ with ‘Dig’ by Mudvayne. Many online were stunned by the mashup with one commenter writing, “William was sent here to end humanity and this is his weapon.” Since being shared earlier this week the video has been viewed over 40,000 times.

Journey’s ‘Don’t Stop Believin’’ is the best-selling digital track of the 20th century, with over seven million copies sold in the US, and now they will be gaining even more fans thanks to this strange genre crossing mashup. While this version likely won’t make it onto any movie or television soundtracks, it at least now gives Journey fans an excuse to mosh pit.
