There are many Americans who have an unexplainable obsession with the British royal family, and luckily for those in the metroplex that share that fixation they can now get a little taste of the royal life right here in DFW. That’s because Princess Diana’s former personal chef recently launched a new food truck traveling throughout North Texas.
Darren McGrady is known for his time as Princess Diana’s personal chef, but these days he’s a Plano resident who recently ran a catering company. Now, McGrady is attempting a new venture, bringing one of England’s most famous dishes to a food truck traveling throughout DFW. Last weekend, Winston's British Fish N Chips food truck had its North Texas debut at Cottonwood Market in Richardson.
According to Dallas Culture Map, the food truck company first launched in Vancouver, Washington in March, but with McGrady living in DFW, the metroplex was the logical next spot. "This is someone who cooked at Buckingham Palace, so you know it's going to be made properly,” said Winston’s founder, Timothy Johnson. With this food truck, everyone in DFW can now get a small taste of the royal life.
