When you walk through NorthPark, you not only have to be mindful of other shoppers going about their business, but also aliens, robots, and starships.
Sculptures of these items made entire out of food cans have taken over the mall, as part of part of the 29th annual CANstruction Dallas competition, which are now on display through the month of September.
According to NBC DFW the event, which features 26 science-fiction-themed sculptures, benefits the North Texas Food Bank, with donations helping provide meals for families across the region.
Trisha Cunningham, President and CEO of the North Texas Food Bank, said in a statement, “CANstruction is an innovative and creative way for the design, engineering, and construction communities to support the North Texas Food Bank’s mission to close the hunger gap in North Texas.
“We could not do what we do in the fight against hunger without the community’s support.”
